Stories and Kids- Part I

From past few days I am little tense. My concern is my child. I noticed that from few days he got more irritating, shows tantrum and stick to the things he desire. I have to work hard to make him eat on time. All his activities start irritating me to much so I resort compelling him to do the things. But this way nothing workout and my headache remain as it is.

As we all know that every problem has some solution. What I found on observing him for few days that he start irritating when he feel hungry or sleepy. So I planned to prepare his diet plan. And start giving him meals accordingly. Yes this time this idea worked. Actually problem is that 3-4 yr child sometimes find difficult to express the things that’s why they behave like this. To make him understand right or wrong I started telling him short stories. It proved to be wonderful idea.

We all know small kids love stories. It’s the best way to explain out the thing which we want them to know by creating stories and telling them the same. This way they understand what is right and what is wrong. While telling stories you can notice the excitement and curiosity in their small eyes. This way child starts loving you more and even you will have great feeling when your child cuddle in your arm while listening stories.

I am sharing some stories with you.

Clever Sheep

One day a careless sheep was trying to cross jungle. On the way one wolf cornered him.
Though sheep was careless but was very clever.
Wolf said: - you little sheep can’t escape this time.
Sheep replied softly you are very much right.
Grant me my last wish before you eat me. Please sing a song for me.
Wolf said:-ok,
And he started began to howl. On hearing the howl Dogs came running and drove the wolf away.

MORAL: - Always use your mind whenever you get into any problem and never give up.

Two Friends-Tinku and Minku

Tinku was lazy and naughty child. He never listened to his mom.
Minku always listened to her mom and respected the elders. He always maintains balance between study and play.
Tinku feel very jealous from Minku because everybody loves Minku. All children love to be friends with Minku.
One day Tinku asked his Grandpa that nobody likes me. Why?
His grandpa told him politely that Minku is good boy and he always listens to his mother and he is also good in his study.
From that day Tinku also started listening to his parents and his performance gradually improved in his study.

MORAL:-Balance is necessary between study and play. Child who listens to their parent and respect elder are liked by everyone

The Dog and the Shadow

A dog was crossing a bridge over a river with a piece bone in his mouth, saw his own shadow in the water .He thought that it is another Dog, with a larger piece of bone in its mouth. He immediately attacked the other Dog so that he can enjoy the larger piece. What happened? In attempt of getting the both pieces he lost his own bone piece also. He thus lost both.

MORAL: Greediness is always a losing game.

Sign of development in Bihar

Recently in newspaper (Times of India), I have gone through an article on the growth rate of Bihar. I hardly read news paper on daily basis but when my husband told about this then I was not able to stop myself to read that. Though I am brought up in Delhi but being Bihari I was so excited after reading the article. Every Bihari must have appreciated this development of their native place. But one thing came into my mind - Will this growth continue? . Government has worked hard and definitely it will help to improve the image of Bihar.

I see many people feel ashamed of disclosing that they are bihari as they don’t want to be insulted and commented. People belittle Bihar as they feel most of the biharies in Delhi are poor and doing job like rickshaw pulling or selling vegetables but do they consider those biharies who are at good position in top of companies and who are really doing well in their profession. People from Bihar have switched to different state in search of job and livelihood and this so because of poor development of the state, lack of job and opportunities.

We accept that there is problem, but who are responsible for this poor condition? Is these leaders only? I don’t think so. We educated Bihari are also responsible for this. We the younger generation can create a new social image of the Bihar and help the government in creating turnaround success story of Bihar. For this first of all we have to change ourselves. We should start maintaining law and order, respect and help each other, and practice fair play. I understand this cannot be done in a yr but we can uplift our native place slowly but steadily.

I strongly appeal to the small and as well as big entrepreneur to start their operation in Bihar. This will help youth there to get job and let other also think in same manner. Slowly infrastructure will also improve.

I have strong hope that Bihar will change for good and soon all Bihari would go back to Bihar and will feel proud to called Bihari.
