Whenever we hear this name the first thing that comes in our mind is MLM (multilevel marketing).
Oh noooooooooooo this is not my cup of tea, I can’t do this, products are expensive etc. etc.
I also used to react the same way. I have been contacted 2 year back by one of our relatives for the Amway products. My reply was obvious, a big ‘NO’ as I thought the same way other think of MLM.
Again few days back in my building I have been approached by someone. I was thinking how to say no. At last I told her’ I can’t do MLM sort of thing’. Her reply was” yaar see the demo of the product and then decide, I am not insisting you to buy or get membership. “This seems to be good idea .Very next day she with her husband gave me demo of products. I was convinced with products.
Next question haunting in my mind was the product price. She told me products are concentrated and per-use cost is very less.
I ordered few products for trial as I wanted to judge myself also. I really liked the product.
I would say that though the price of its products seems to be high but has proved quite useful and that's what counts.
Finally I decided to take membership. I contacted her .She explained me” Once you register with Amway, you become a distributor. In case you are not interested in the business, you can get the goods directly in your name at a discount of approx20% discount on MRP and can be a registered customer. At any point of time you have an option to take it as a part time business and start generating income”. I took membership to avail discount of 20%.
I told her clearly that I would not be able to turn this into business but yes I will be the consumer at least.
